Nagoya University researchers recognized by MEXT for contributions to science and technology

Two Nagoya University faculty have received commendations for their contributions to science and technology from the Minister for Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology.

 

 Professor Yusuke Yamauchi, of the Graduate School of Engineering, is a Clarivate Highly Cited Researcher in the fields of Chemistry and Materials science. He received his commendation for his research into the synthesis of conductive, porous nanomaterials.

 

Lecturer Mika Nomoto, of the Graduate School of Science, received the young scientist's award. One of Nagoya University's talented young researchers, she has previously received the L'Oreal-UNESCO Women in Science Japan National Fellowship and International Rising Talent awards. She received her commendation for her research into how plants respond to environmental stressors.
