Housing for International Researchers

There are four Nagoya University residences available to international research fellows: International Residence Higashiyama, Researchers Village Higashiyama, Noyori Conference Hall and Researchers Village Daiko.

Researchers can make use of Nagoya University residences for periods of 1 month to 1 year.

Nagoya University Dormitories for International Researchers

1. International Residence Higashiyama (on Higashiyama campus)

Room rent	18,627 yen per month (plus a monthly service fee [4,700 yen] and utility charges) for couple room 30,999 yen per month (plus a monthly service fee [4,700 yen] and utility charges) for family room

2. Researchers Village Higashiyama (on Higashiyama campus)

Room rent	64,003 yen per month for 76.45 m² room 65,003 yen per month for 78.33 m² room 59,003 yen per month for 67.5 m² room (plus a monthly service fee [4,700 yen] and utility charges)

3. Housing in Noyori Conference Hall (on Higashiyama campus)

Room rent	55,003 yen per month for single room 77,003-85,003 yen per month for couple room 89,003-97,003 yen per month for family room (plus a monthly service fee [4,700 yen] and utility charges)

4. Researchers Village Daiko (on Daiko campus)

Room rent	53,003 yen per month (plus a monthly service fee [5,000 yen] and utility charges)

Housing for International Students

There are six Nagoya University residences available for international students: Higashiyama, Ohmeikan, Yamate North, Yamate South, Myoken and Daiko.

Your housing will depend upon your program of study. Please consult your supervisor for details.

Nagoya University Dormitories for International Students

2. International Ohmeikan (10 minutes on foot or 2 minutes by bus to Higashiyama Campus. Japanese students are also housed in this dormitory. )

Facilities	60 Rooms for single persons (13 m²) for international students and 231 rooms for Japanese students
Each room is equipped with	desk, chair, bed, wardrobe, cabinet, bath, toilet, air-conditioner, etc.
Room rent	16,000 yen per month (monthly service fee is included）plus utility charges

3. International Residence Yamate North (10 minutes on foot or 2 minutes by bus to Higashiyama Campus)

Room rent	32,000 yen per month（monthly service fee is included）plus utility charges

4. International Residence Yamate South (10 minutes on foot or 2 minutes by bus to Higashiyama Campus)

5. Ishida Memorial International Residence Myoken (10 minutes on foot or 2 minutes by bus to Higashiyama Campus)

6. International Residence Daiko (on Daiko campus)

In addition to university dormitories, there are many other accommodations available for students, such as those mentioned below. Applicant eligibility and moving in conditions vary by accommodation and are subject to change, so please contact each agency directly.
